Getting into the role

Spent the past few days really getting into the Fallout 4 role play.  My character is pretty young but I’ve developed enough to explore the landscape without dying every two minutes.

Fallout 4 landscape is massive

I’ve figured out how to Platinum Trophy hunt in Life is strange without messing up my choices.

Life Is Strange™ Taking pix all over the place.

My StarWars Battlefront re-training is pure fun after I figured out how to get the free DLC content with $6 ultimate version.  It caused a hard drive issue with 2 instances of 40+ GB taking up valuable space.  My disk version is now redundant and can be archived.

Still, I’m running a horrendous Kill Death ratio of 10% in multiplier mode but it feels good practising with offline AI enemies. Map knowledge, weapons and skill access is critical to success. Most players I’ve joined have weapons I haven’t even tried out much less mastered.

Anyhow, my primary objective is just to be ready for the Part 2 Beta.

What a Wonderful World

I’ve jumped back into the bizarre apocalyptic world of FallOut 4. Every time I start this game I get crazy real-world distractions but this time I’m into it.

There must be over 100 hours of gameplay here.

I fought and struggled to get to a sanctuary City but at only level 7 I can’t do much enemy damage plus I’m super low on in-game cash.  I’m thinking this game, excluding the DLCs, will take me 12-15 months to complete.  A nice slow grind pace with a focus on quality and detail, exploration and creativity.

Haven’t been to the gym this month

Today is a good Day

This morning there is a good balance in me.  Doesn’t matter about the facts on my personal finances.

For some reason I am at peace, neither terrified nor blindly happy.

Today, I have no physical pains and no inner sadness.

Today, I don’t need any medication

Today, I have optimistic hope.

Today, I am Dreamer.

Feels good to be Submerged

Just completed this cute 2Gb title. It’s a nice explorer game free of any violence and ends with an excellent feel good factor.

There should be more games like this on the market.

Sailing away from it all

Assassin creed 7.80 Gb African chapter is glitching out on me but I’ll stick with it 44% in the game.

I last played Life is Strange on the 24-January this year. Using the Unreal engine this is a pure quality title and I know the prequel is on the way. At first, the High School environment was a bit of a put-off triggering memories of when I was bullied or just left out the “cool” gangs but the great guitar sound track and unique rewind feature pulled me in.

Life Is Strange™ gonna have to re-do Episode 1

Last few games I’ve played have all had female lead characters

Attempting to get it wrong

Need for Speed™ Rivals is a thing of beauty that never gets old.  I first played it way back in 2014 gaining a trophy on 2-December.  I picked up the game again hitting Rank 5 on 1-November 2015 and reached Rank 10 on the 25-January 2016.

I figured out a nice sweet spot and nearly fully upgraded a nice Porsche.  Feels great hitting top speed into traffic and smashing up cop cars trying to get away from pursuit.  Pure mindless Hand to Eye arcade fun.

Need for Speed™ Rivals – No loans needed

I’m planning a Super car real life circuit drive with my girl on my birthday.  She’s an excellent driver and will be aiming at the road instead of other cars.

This is how I quenched my thirst for a real world Porsche

I AM your Father

November 17, 2017 – StarWars Battlefront II goes live to the general public. By then the elites, pro-games, streamers and pre-orders would have already racked up hours of gameplay and earns new guns and abilities while they slaughter new or inexperienced players at will.

I’m still undecided as to whether I will be joining the battles. Game sequels carry a mixed taste, basically, you want more of what happened before but you want it 10 times better, faster and bigger.  No doubt EA is banking on grabbing at least 20 million players globally with this title and it being a big part of the annual $3.147 billion net sales.

Tales of the Expected

Star Wars™ Battlefront was simply a childhood movie fantasy come alive.  I remember the first time my anonymous team brought down an AT-AT walker….sheer geek ecstasy.

Hard to see how that feeling of aweeeeesome can be genuinely repeated.

I last played 30-Sept 2016 at 10:23 am after reaching the maximum level 50 at the time.  I never bothered with DLC so Part II kinda feels like a massive DLC.  Even if the single game PvE is a good story, the community will be looking at the 40-PvP campaigns.

It’s gonna be absolute carnage.

Time waits for no one

I had a lot more time on my hands in 2016 and would play non-stop for days without anybody bothering me. I don’t have that luxury solo gamer environment anymore so I would have to recreate it or suffer from unacceptable mid-game interruptions.

Only self-paced titles like Horizon Zero Dawn work well for me. I need to be able to randomly play for 10-60 minutes irregularly without it hurting the quality of the experience.

So, I’ve answered my own question. I will not be joining StarWars BattleFront II this November.
