Quietness

Like many, I dislike the winter season. The lack of sunlight and cold, wet weather makes me want to go into hibernation. So preparation is the key and this year it’s about basics, good transportation and a toasty warm wardrobe.

I’ve started a new chapter and there are still so many open real life issues to deal with. Meanwhile, I’ve started my journey around Mount Yotei exploring, hunting and living a story I can really lose myself in. At this point in time, I’m 5 times happier than I was 2 months ago.

Better is a handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of the spirit.

And the beats goes on….

After months and months of grinding, I’m finally back in an InfoSec driving seat leading the band. A massive challenge leading into a post-Pandemic arena but a brilliant way to start 2021. As a job-hunter my data has been there out in the wild for recruiters and agencies to view, craft and present to companies…but now it’s time to go dark again.

Binary decisions

Sometimes hard decisions are simply a case of On or Off.

After a Division 2 weekend binge of Level 4 Control Points, Invasion missions and a Hunter mask, I decided to just delete the game from my primary PS4 and jump into the FarCry New Dawn World.  I grabbed the financial bait, a whopping 67% off the list price and the offline, story driven nature of the game.

Don’t get me wrong, deleting the 97+GB of Division 2 was rough especially knowing how much time it will take to re-install but the Raids did not justify the potential time investment. Also, one of my long term fellow gamers became totally obsessed with my skin colour breaking the relatively anonymous nature of online multiplayer games.
