What da bleep, bleep…

It used to be pretty easy to manage your Apps from iTunes but now the giant vendor has stealthily taken that option away, which sucks for iPhone 4 or multiple device users.  Now you are forced to manage all Apps from the device itself.

Having to re-think mobile device management…Again.

The new App store looks and feels fantastic but it’s just a cold reminder that end users control nothing.

At any point, your daily habits and behaviour can be manipulated with an Operating system update forcing you to act in a “crafted” way.  In the meantime, your walking, talking, driving, sleeping habit data is carefully harvested by your mobile device for later use.

How to avoid S.A.D

Pretty pleased with my Orlando Winter shopping trip.  Didn’t get all that I wanted but really happy with my new Tims.  So much so, that I’m compelled to buy a second pair same style.

I truly don’t know if I actually suffer from winter depression or whether it’s just another made up Western medical condition but this year I’m taking no chances.

I’m currently on stand-by waiting for “something big” to drop but in the meantime, my main plans are to swing by Florida again in December to see 2018 in on Daytona Beach.

Time to reset some of my personal goals as I’ve missed 3 major career ones this year.

Myasthenia Gravis is a stealth parasite, it feeds on your low feelings, anxieties and stress.

Over the years, I’ve altered my behaviour to adapt to the condition.  Naturally, this doesn’t always look good to those close to me.

I simply become aloft and robotic, not caring about anything around me and dive into work and Gaming.  In truth, I do care and am probably oversensitive to my Loved ones’ Joys and Pains.  It’s a messy method but helps me out of the weakness tunnel.

A Year of Updates

It’s been over 12 months since my last visit home, my US home Orlando, Florida.

On arrival, my GPS freaked out and failed to load any maps demanding an update, soft re-boot failed…. failed to connect to power, failed to connect to laptop WTF.

After tinkering for a while and even resorting to connecting to one of my offline Windows XP tablets I got desperate and pissed off.   I did a hard-reset factory restore hidden method and Boom all maps loading and I’m on the road again.

So long as there’s Pancakes I’m happy

I’ve neglected my son duties for a while now so loads of chores to catch up on.  But first off to Walmart and iHop to get my day started.

Climbing the Ladder of Accountability

Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart) The Stylistics original in 1971 is up there amongst my most favourite ballads.  A colleague taught me about the Ladder of Accountability and it dawned on me how many areas of my life have seen me scale and slide down that very Ladder multiple times.

Living on past truimps leads me into a world of resentment and “Do you know who I am” territory.

For the longest time, I languished on Level 4 believing I was actually doing something when in reality I was wasting time and taking the blame.  Right now, I’m probably on Level 6.5 and happy to have documented enough stuff to realise truly what the reality is.

Responsible and Proactive

Level 8 - I Make it Happen
level 7 - I seek Solutions
Level 6 - I Own it
Level 5 - I acknowledge reality
Victim mentality - Reactive

Level 4 - I wait and Hope
Level 3 - I make Excuses
Level 2 - I blame and Complain
Level 1 - I'm unaware or in denial

Does it ever puzzle you
Have you asked why?”

A long way to go

The Winter months are calling me.  Calling me to prepare for the weather and the darkness.  I try to get as much Sun time as possible knowing that I would not see it for more than 2 hours a day soon.

Ready for FarCry5 next year

Plenty of new titles will be coming this Christmas and FarCry 5 is set for February 27, 2018 smack on the edge of Winter.  By then my life will be totally different, for better or for worst.

I think I’m coming to the conclusion of Horizon Dawn Zero as the game prepares me for what looks to be the final Epic battle.
