Lurking squishy tanks spawn camping for snipers

Gaming terms are always colourful and ever-changing. Watch any committed streamer on Twitch.TV and you will soon be looking up the terms or simply wondering  “what did he just say?”.

Language always brings people together and makes it very easy to spot an outsider or faker.

The level of game analysis you can see on The Division™ is truly educational.  Maths, logical thinking and creativity to doctorate levels.   Gaming PhDs (FROG – Future and Reality of Gaming) will be hosting their 11th Vienna Games Conference in Austria this week and chances are that I’ll show up just to lurk for an hour or so even if it’s all in German.

There is still not much middle ground between Players and Academia.  Normal folk simply view Computer games as toys for school kids.

I’ve jumped back into Tom Clancy’s The Division™ [now patched to version 1.7] after adding some more streamers to my follow list and watching some deep game analysis.  I still haven’t finished the main story or reached the max rank but slightly more educated on what guns to go for.

Running away from the Real World

FallOut 4 has proven to be the ultimate escape from reality especially when things are not going so good.

15+ hours of full-on FallOut gameplay this week.

…not good.

Fallout 4 – Back at Yard

Killing zombies and building virtual houses is much more fun than dealing with things I “should have” or “could have” done.

Fallout 4 – Got my Eye on You

The problem with Digital content games is that you simply can’t take out the disk from your console if you want to lay off it for a while.

It took 5 seconds to delete a game that will take hours to re-install.

Getting into the role

Spent the past few days really getting into the Fallout 4 role play.  My character is pretty young but I’ve developed enough to explore the landscape without dying every two minutes.

Fallout 4 landscape is massive

I’ve figured out how to Platinum Trophy hunt in Life is strange without messing up my choices.

Life Is Strange™ Taking pix all over the place.

My StarWars Battlefront re-training is pure fun after I figured out how to get the free DLC content with $6 ultimate version.  It caused a hard drive issue with 2 instances of 40+ GB taking up valuable space.  My disk version is now redundant and can be archived.

Still, I’m running a horrendous Kill Death ratio of 10% in multiplier mode but it feels good practising with offline AI enemies. Map knowledge, weapons and skill access is critical to success. Most players I’ve joined have weapons I haven’t even tried out much less mastered.

Anyhow, my primary objective is just to be ready for the Part 2 Beta.

What a Wonderful World

I’ve jumped back into the bizarre apocalyptic world of FallOut 4. Every time I start this game I get crazy real-world distractions but this time I’m into it.

There must be over 100 hours of gameplay here.

I fought and struggled to get to a sanctuary City but at only level 7 I can’t do much enemy damage plus I’m super low on in-game cash.  I’m thinking this game, excluding the DLCs, will take me 12-15 months to complete.  A nice slow grind pace with a focus on quality and detail, exploration and creativity.

My Fallout 4 persona

Haven’t been to the gym this month

Today is a good Day

This morning there is a good balance in me.  Doesn’t matter about the facts on my personal finances.

For some reason I am at peace, neither terrified nor blindly happy.

Today, I have no physical pains and no inner sadness.

Today, I don’t need any medication

Today, I have optimistic hope.

Today, I am Dreamer.
