Warning!!! Shop, Stream and Send levels exceeded.

What was once an uncertain landscape is now as predictable as Perma Death mod.

Accepting this will lead to a better path of contentment. Like many, I sat at home streaming, sending and shopping from our favourite forest. 2022 will need to be different because I don’t have any more space in the house but mainly because material things don’t generate a decent level of dopamine.

Path of the Nomad tactics are needed to regenerate my health and well-being over time, but seriously I’m now on the hunt for a new Path. In the meantime, I’ve attracted a gradual load of low-level pesky bot attacks but not too interesting to talk about here.

Maybe a spending cap is needed for 2020 toooooo

Dirty device

After navigating for the first time in months across the pond, I find personal data sprawled across multiple unknown official entities and a primary phone that is filthy with geolocators and suspicious tracking tech. I haven’t bothered with VPN for weeks.

So time for a brisk digital scrub down.

UK is now at COVID-19 Alert Level 4 and things do not appear to be getting better.

Last known incoming attack from 28°39’15.1″N 77°14’14.3″E – pretty standard, no real threat.

Bunker time as the world fights this new variant – Far Cry® 6

Week 2 of getting back in the gym and it’s actually working with less resistance from me or anyone around me. So easy to change habits sometimes but it seems I haven’t even got time enough to blog properly about it.

PS Plus turned on

Running around snipping folk in Far Cry® 6

And the beats goes on….

After months and months of grinding, I’m finally back in an InfoSec driving seat leading the band. A massive challenge leading into a post-Pandemic arena but a brilliant way to start 2021. As a job-hunter my data has been there out in the wild for recruiters and agencies to view, craft and present to companies…but now it’s time to go dark again.

Gamer’s Path to Respect (in-game & IRL)

Without even knowing it, the thirst for Respect is one of the key drivers for many Gamers.  Buried deep in our subconscious we grind for better achievements and exotic talents that are higher than our peers with the overwhelming desire to be “liked” and Respected.

I’ve been running the same Blind Banshee build for months merely because is earns so much respect in Div 2 protecting the team and being an effective King-maker.

Here’s a Path to Respect

Be considerate

This build doesn’t kill NPCs very fast, but it sets up teammates to kill without being harmed.

Act respectfully

With hardly any real damage to NPCs, I need to encourage teammates to focus on certain non-obvious threats without demanding they “SHOT HERE”.

Listen and Watch well

I need to have good situational awareness, map knowledge and enemy spawn knowledge to anticipate where the threats come from and where they are likely to run to.

Be useful

Look out for teammates under severe threat of dying and disable the threat immediately.

Don’t make excuses

I’m very squishy so always need to look after myself and can’t blame anyone for me being out of position or foolishly flanked.

Let go of anger

Sometimes, it seems no one is shooting in the right places, just relax and be patient…don’t rage quit.

Be willing to change

If all fails or the team asks you to, switch to a Damage per second Build
